Protest the changes, in the phase of advanced discussion at European level, of regulation 561/06 on driving and resting times for drivers. This is the purpose of the national strike of the road haulage sector proclaimed by the trade unions Filt-Cgil, Fit-Cisl and Uiltrasporti for the whole day next Monday, January 14th. The initiative, which follows the one already implemented for the same reasons in May 2017, will be able to be implemented today 24 hours of strike to be proclaimed at the territorial level. In this regard, it is noted that in Liguria the strike was perfect also on Tuesday 15 January.

"On January 10th, - reads the statement released by the trade unions - the European Transport commission will vote on the agreement of the Council of EU Transport Ministers on the Mobility Package. We must stop any changes to regulation 561/06 because the risk run by drivers on heavy vehicles is to see their living and working conditions worsen.The amendment to the regulation in fact provides for the possibility of distributing driving and rest times unbalanced, with the concentration of long rest in the fourth week thus determining a longer work times in the first three weeks ".

More labor, less concentration, more recovery difficulties, the unions explain, would put a burden on workers, reducing security for all road users.
